                                    An Invitation from Pastor Eddie:

Friends of Jesus!
     As I move and pray through our community and church, the amount of brokenness hurts my heart daily.  Even in our families there is so much divorce and abuse and depression and despair and division and conflict that I only know of one Man Who can rescue us!  The same Man who loved us so much that He gave His perfect life as a ransom for us! The same Man Who now empowers us to live our lives, “Loving the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength and loving our neighbors as ourselves.”
     Believing that Jesus and His Word will always hold the answers for life, beginning the weekend of February 20 and 21, we will embark on a spiritual journey together called 40 Days of Love!  It has been prayerfully planned to coincide with the 40 days of Lent and will conclude with “Celebration Sunday” on Easter morning!
     I am asking everyone to be in prayer so that God may speak clearly and powerfully into all of our lives.  I am asking that all of our Bible Groups use the 40 Days of Love Bible study material so that we have even greater unity and alignment as a congregational family.  Just think, for 40 days we will all be studying the same Bible passages regarding the love of Christ!
     I am also asking that if anyone is not in a Bible group that he or she either find one or start one for this spiritual campaign.  I firmly believe it is God’s plan for us to live out the 3 steps that I preached on a few weeks ago:
     1. Connect people to Jesus in worship!
     2. Connect with each other in Bible groups!
     3. Connect with the world through ministry!
These are happening in Spirit-filled ways even as you read this letter!  So make plans to prayerfully be a part of 40 Days of Love
and most of all…
     Pray Hard and Hold On for the Ride!
